Based on our years of experience and research, it is now common for various plastics—such as storage containers, toilet lids, air conditioners, toys, toothbrushes, and all other plastic items we use in daily life—to be treated with plastic antimicrobial agents. Many people use these items regularly without knowing their background. Numerous factories are not very familiar with antimicrobial agents; some have been producing plastics for years without understanding why antimicrobials are added. Simply put, adding antimicrobial agents helps protect people from bacteria and significantly enhances the product's value.
Many people ask why antimicrobial agents are necessary and which types should be added to specific materials. This is a matter of common sense. For targeted plastics—for example, if transparency is required—an appropriate transparent antimicrobial agent should be chosen, while opaque agents are suitable for non-transparent materials. The operational process is relatively straightforward: simply follow the instructions for addition. If you're wondering how to confirm whether the antimicrobial agent is effective for your product and whether it meets your desired outcomes, there's no need to worry. You can conduct sampling tests by incorporating the antimicrobial agent, then send the samples to authoritative third-party national institutions for testing. The data will clearly indicate whether it works and if it achieves the expected results.
ISO 22196 is a Japanese testing standard that evaluates the antimicrobial performance of agents on plastic products, such as PP, PE, PET, PVC, PS, TPR, ABS, PA, PC, AS, and others. Plastic antimicrobial agents add a protective layer to the surface of these products, preventing bacteria from coming into contact with the human body and thus offering protection. Our antimicrobial agents can be applied to all types of plastic products. By adding different agents to different plastics according to methods and processes, excellent antimicrobial effects can be achieved.
This antimicrobial agent is heat-resistant and suitable for high-temperature material production. For producing ABS and ABS+PC molds, a mold temperature controller is required for injection molding. After adding the antimicrobial agent, the barrel temperature can be set to the normal material temperature. For low-temperature materials like PE, PP, PVC, TPR, rubber, and silicone, the barrel temperature should be set 5-10 degrees lower. The hopper drying temperature should follow the normal material drying temperature, and injection molding parameters should remain standard. After adding the antimicrobial agent, the recommended screw back pressure is 5-20 kg. Adding 0.8% of the agent can achieve an effectiveness rate of up to 99%.
The new inorganic antimicrobial sterilizer is a product made from silver ions with strong sterilizing capabilities. It is a novel inorganic antimicrobial agent that combines safety and broad-spectrum efficacy. Compared to previous organic sterilizers, this agent offers higher heat resistance and safety, providing long-lasting sterilization against a wide range of bacteria and molds. The particle size is 0.11~0.12 micrometers, and it is not suitable for transparent products. The recommended addition ratio is 0.6% to 1%.
